To assist in event planning, our clients receive completely customizable event planning software that fits to your needs. This free service includes:
- Search our music collection
- Request songs up until the day of the event
- Create a savable event timeline
- Pay online
- Schedule/manage any other event information, such as: wedding party introductions, first dances, etc.
- Allow guests of the event to request songs on a password-protected web page up until the day of the event.
These features help in making our client's event even more curtailed and unique. This is a real-time application that can be updated anytime, anywhere!
Many of our clients are uncertain of what they want exactly, but that's okay! With our experience, we will tell you what has worked for us and what we feel would help with your event. What do your rates include?
Our rates include everything we have to offer and are all-inclusive. You will receive the top lighting, up-lighting, and equipment curtailed for your specific needs. There are no hidden costs, so you have nothing to worry about. Currently, wedding rates start as low as $1199.99 and other event rates start as low as $699.99, so please contact us today about your event details.
Do you play for wedding ceremonies?
Yes! If the ceremony and reception are in the same room, there is no additional charge and if it falls within your requested hours.

Do you provide karaoke for events?
At this time, we do not offer karaoke, but please check back with us because we plan to add this service in the near future!
How involved will your DJ's be with our event?
Our number one priority is customer service. No matter the event, it's your event, and we want it to be the best experience for you and your guests. In preparation for your event, we will keep in close contact with you every step of the way to ensure everything is how you want it. On the day of the event, we will be as involved as you want us to be. We will work behind the scenes with your event planner, photographer, videographer, etc. so everything runs as smoothly as possible, so you have nothing to worry about! We will handle announcements and anything else you would like for us to do. For the most part, we will keep all announcements to the minimum though (unless otherwise noted) because we know your guests want to dance and not listen to a DJ talk all night!
Do you take requests prior to the event?
Absolutely! With DJ Event Planner event planning software, our clients can request songs through their wedding page and they can see the songs in our current music collection (this library is currently under construction), AND the guests of the event have a designated password page to place requests before the event. Before the given event, we run the playlist over with our clients to approve songs and take some songs off. We take requests and a no-play list to suit our clients' needs prior to the event and throughout the entire event (unless otherwise noted).
Do you have wireless microphones available for speeches?
Yes, we have the newest wireless microphone system for your event.
How much is dinner music for a wedding?
Dinner music is free and included within your wedding hour package.
How much is the retainer, and is the retainer refundable?
Our non-refundable DJ retainer to reserve your date is $400 and is applied toward the final balance. After you have confirmed an available date with us, we will personally meet with you to discuss your event, go over the contract, and, of course, get to know each other. Our non-refundable photo booth retainer to reserve your date is $400 and is applied toward the final balance, too.
Why are your prices so much lower than other companies we've contacted?
We know how entertainment services could be burdensome for many wallets, especially during these hard economic times, so we pride ourselves in giving you personal, professional service at a budget-friendly price. We at Hemmelgarn Entertainment feel you have enough to be planning and paying for, so we keep our rates reasonable and budget-friendly! What you will NOT receive from us is cheap, out-dated equipment. We use the latest and most state-of-the-art equipment on the market. We change out our systems every two years to ensure our clients receive the best. If you'd like to talk system specs with us, please contact us! What you also won't receive from us is the growing trend of an iPad DJ who is inexperienced and just plays the same old music, or the huge company that simply sees you as a dollar sign. We are experienced in making announcements and adapting song selections to make ensure you and your guests will dance all night long. We will make sure your event is remembered for a lifetime. With wedding rates starting at $1199.99 and all other event rates starting at $699.99, we promise to give you the exceptional service you deserve!
Do we get to select the music you play?
You may select as much music as you'd like. After you sign a contract with us, we will send you a list of our music, and you may choose what you want and don't want to be played!
How far will you travel?
We have covered events throughout the entire state of Ohio, Indiana, and West Virginia, so travel will not be an issue to your event. There is no additional charge for travel (within 50 miles of our base). We look forward to hearing from you!
What will the DJ's attire be?
Do not worry! We will be dressed accordingly for the event. If it's a wedding, you will see us in dress pants and dress shirt. If your event is something more casual, you will see us in a polo and appropriate clothing. We pride ourselves on looking professional at all events.
